Database development

Databases for urban and other cadastres, management of territories and objects for the community, settlements, etc., with the necessary layers and a clear structure of metadata. As well as databases for other tasks.

Databases are created taking into account the specific needs of the customer, based on the specification, using the PostgreSQL database management system. The main interface for working with data is GIS QGIS.A web interface for interacting with the database can also be developed.

Among the tasks that can be solved using databases and GIS systems are:

  • Visualization of the characteristics of community settlements - business card layers, information on demographic characteristics, etc.
  • Maintaining a register (inventory) of real estate
  • Publication of urban-planning documentation
  • Accounting of urban planning documentation of communities settlements
  • Creating and maintaining maps of investment development of the territory (investment, grant projects, proposals, conditions, opportunities)
  • Creation of maps of nature reserve fund, forest fund, water fund. Placement of rare species of animals, areas of the emerald network, etc.
  • Creating maps of tourist potential (tourist offers, routes, bases, places for rest, places for picnics, carrying out permits, etc.)
  • Accounting for social security facilities (health, education, social protection, etc.) with the definition of their location and characteristics
  • Accounting for engineering networks
  • Creating maps of civil protection objects
  • Creating maps of housing and communal services
  • Accounting of objects of fuel and energy complex
  • Creating maps of natural and man-made hazards
  • Creating maps of repair work, indicating information about the scope of work and funding
  • Accounting of small architectural forms and advertising structures
  • Other tasks

Databases provide the ability to maintain these registers and visualization in GIS in the form of data layers, as well as analysis, generation of reports, copying from the registers as fragments of maps and statistical information in the form of text documents.

The use of databases and GIS allows you to widely use WEB tools and publish the necessary information online.

Note that according to the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers №559 "On Urban Cadastre" the creation and maintenance of urban cadastre at the regional and local levels is financed from local budgets. This should be kept in mind when estimating the annual cost of technical support and software license upgrades. QGIS and PostgreSQL is free and open source software that does not require an annual license fee.

After developing the database, we will conduct training so that you can administer, adjust, manage and fill in the necessary data. In addition, the course provides basic universal skills in the using of geographic information systems.
